Red Heels ReCHOIRed is in its' fourth year of existence. The choir began in 2012 as an extracurricular activity, with a core of 9 motivated young women who wanted to sing treble choir music. The groups high standards and reputation for fun drew more young women to want to participate. In the 2013-2014 school year the class was offered for credit with 16 girls participating. This year we are at a total of 26 singers and always looking for more motivated young women to sing with us. We learn music from many differing genres that include themes of strength, encouragement, integrity and fun. Just look at the faces in the photo above, why wouldn't you want to be a part of this beautiful group of singers! ~ This choir started in the Early Bird slot from 7:10-8:10 each morning. Last year (2015-2016), "Red Heels" will met during the school day and we will continue to offer this class during the normal school day hours.
Our rehearsals are lively and focus on the mechanics of singing-using the singing voice properly; learning how to read music at sight and performance of quality choral literature! For more information contact Terri Butler at (540) 298-7450 or firstname.lastname@example.org
